Scanning the brain for PTSD

Researchers at the VA in Minneapolis, Minnesota used technology that has been studied for years: imaging the activity of the brain using magnetic sensors. Tetris helpful for PTSD intervention?
Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 2009-01-07 12:59A new study looks at using the videogame "Tetris" as an intervention to reduce PTSD. In a highly controlled environment (subjects shown a film to simulate trauma and the Tetris played within 30 minutes of the film) there were fewer traumatic flashbacks in the videogame group. The study got a favorable review on the usually skeptical NHS Behind the Headlines website which has had a very high quality of content reviewing current medical findings.
