Study: VA Hospitals gave reduced prostate cancer treatment

Prostate cancer patients numbering about 55 in total were given radiation treatments at doses too low to actually aid in preventing the disease process from spreading and the federal investigators want to know how and why it happened. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission yesterday announced that it is probing the Philadelphia VA Medical Center both the facility and the procedure to find out what happened how it happened and to initiate preventative measures to prevent a recurrence.
